How to Lock a Smonet Smart Lock?
It can be a bit difficult to use a smart lock at times, but don’t be afraid.
If you follow these steps, you will find it super easy to use.
Smonet smart lock can be locked in a number of ways. Here are the methods:
- Via the Keypad: Press and hold the # key for 2 seconds to lock the door from the outside.
- Using the Physical Key: Insert a physical key into the keyhole, and then turn it to the lock position to lock the door.
- Via the Thumb Turn: To lock the door, rotate the Turn Piece from the inside.
- By using Alexa/Google Home: By pairing your device with Alexa or Google Assistant, you can lock your door using voice commands or via the respective apps.
- Through the TTLock App: Open the TTLock app on your phone, then long-press the Padlock icon for a few seconds. This only works if you’re within Bluetooth range. You will need to connect the lock via Wi-Fi to be able to control it remotely (from miles away).
Please note: If you want to lock/unlock it via the TTLock app, you need to pair it with the app first, before you are able to lock/unlock it. Unless you do that, it won’t work.
To unlock the lock via the keypad, you need to create a passcode first.

How to Create Admin Passcode on Your Smonet Smart Lock?
Creating an admin passcode on your Smonet smart lock is quite simple.
Here are the steps you need to follow:
- Open the TTLock app on your mobile device and click on Settings.
- Click Basic and select the Admin Passcode option. Then simply follow the instructions on the screen to create your passcode.
- You can also create an Admin Passcode through the keypad. Enter *12#123456#Admin Passcode#Admin Passcode#.
How to Pair Your Smonet Smart Lock with the TTLock App?
TTLock is a smart locks management software that allows users to control and manage their smart locks from their mobile devices.
With this app, you can lock and unlock the smart lock via Bluetooth, upgrade hardware, and view a real-time audit trail of operations.
To set up your Smonet Lock with the TTLock app, follow these steps:
- Search for “TTLock” in the Apple App Store or Google Play Store to download the app.
- Open the app and tap Register in the top right-hand corner to create a TTLock account. If you already have a TTLock account, scroll down and log in with your existing details.
- Turn on Bluetooth on your mobile device.
- Touch any key on the lock to keep it active and visible to Bluetooth connections.
- Go back to the TTLock app on your phone and click on Add Lock.
- Select Door Lock and follow the screen instructions to complete the pairing.
Factory Resetting a Smonet Smart Lock
If you’ve lost or forgotten your Admin Password or if there is an issue with the Smonet Lock, you can factory reset the lock to restore factory default settings, so that you can set up the lock again.
Be aware that all your previous settings, including those related to TTLock, Alexa, and Google Home, will be wiped out.
As a result, you’ll need to start all over again if you want to set up the lock the way you did when it was first installed.
Here’s how to reset a Smonet Smart Lock:
Step 1: Remove the battery cover and remove the batteries.
Step 2: Wait for 5 seconds, and then put the batteries back in.
Step 3: Look for the Reset button (a circle button located somewhere besides the battery pack). Press and hold the Reset button (for about 10 seconds) until the lock beeps. The beep indicates that the lock has been reset.
To ensure continuous, reliable operation, make sure you set it up correctly.
FAQs
Does Smonet Lock work with Ring?
A: There is no Smonet Smart Lock model compatible with the Ring Alarm Security System as of now.
How do you unlock a Smonet Smart Lock when the batteries are low?
A: Replace the batteries in your Smonet Lock if they are completely drained. Get a 9V battery and connect it to the emergency battery terminal (below the bottom of the lock) to power up the lock.
Be sure to use only alkaline batteries.
If you have a physical key, you can unlock the lock by removing the keyhole cover and inserting it into the keyhole.
Why is Smonet Smart Lock not locking/unlocking?
A: You may encounter problems like this if the batteries in your lock are low, which may cause the lock to not function properly.
So, replace the batteries first and then try operating the lock again to see if it works.
If the issue persists, you can reset your Smonet Lock by following the steps above, or you can check your smart lock’s manual to identify the problem.
